Why Bali?

For both Katie and I, Bali has always been more than a destination — it’s been a sacred portal, a place of remembrance, and a homecoming to parts of ourselves we didn’t even realize we had lost.

Over the years, we’ve each been called back to this island time and time again. Every visit has stripped away deeper layers of conditioning, guiding us into profound healing, expansion, and alignment with our soul’s purpose. Bali isn’t just somewhere we travel to — it’s where we return to ourselves.

One experience in particular shifted everything for me. During a sacred palm reading session with a Balinese healer, I was told:
"You have a purpose tied to this land. You are meant to bring others here. To heal. To remember."

That message hit me like lightning. I knew instantly it wasn’t just about my own path anymore. It was about creating a container where others could also awaken, heal, and remember the truth of who they are — and Bali was meant to be the portal.

When Katie and I came together, it was clear that our combined soul work — her heart for healing through Reiki retreats and my devotion to Reiki mastery — was meant to weave in this land. Together, we’re answering that calling by holding space for others to receive their Karuna Reiki® Master attunements (Ignitions) here, on sacred Balinese soil.

Bali holds an ancient, nurturing, and deeply compassionate energy — the same qualities that Karuna Reiki® embodies. The land itself becomes a co-facilitator in the training, helping you release old patterns, heal generational wounds, and step fully into your role as a Master.

Prerequisite: Must be an Usui Reiki Master for at least six months prior to this Retreat.
